![]() In her free time, Danielle enjoys volunteering for community events, in the production department at her church in Lafayette, traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family. ![]() While in college, she received the NABJ 2020 Outstanding Member award at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.ĭanielle likes to give back to the community she has been a part of by hosting charity and non-profit events. She has received numerous awards for her involvement in the community and her role as a journalist making a difference in Acadiana. She also develops stories for Moving Acadiana Forward, which looks at positive business stories making an impact in this region.ĭanielle is a member of the Broadcast Education Association and National Organization of Black Journalists. From there, she was promoted to full-time anchor of the show. She also is responsible for two important franchises for KLFY News. Eye on Health looks at health and medical trends affecting Acadiana. Then, 40 days later, she was covering Hurricane Delta that hit just east of Lake Charles and swept through Acadiana.ĭanielle was then promoted to primary fill-in Anchor on the longest running and #1 Morning show in Acadiana, Passe Partout. She also covered 2 hurricanes in her first year. Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles turned out to be the strongest Hurricane to ever hit the Louisiana coastline. While in college, Danielle got her start in the broadcast business. The different positions included, floor director, audio board operator, graphics operator and even running teleprompter.ĭanielle started at KLFY as a Multi-Media Journalist right after COVID-19 outbreak.
